Dr_Pischer.jpgCharles Pfister, D.M.D, M.S.

A lifelong native of Medina County, Dr. Pfister graduated from Highland High School, where he served as Student Council President and President of the Spanish Club.  He attended the College of Wooster, where he served as the president of the biology club and his fraternity, Beta Kappa Phi, and graduated in 1977 with a degree in Biology.  He graduated from Case Western Reserve University’s School of Dentistry in 1981 where he was American Dental Association Student Representative and dental school president for two years.  He completed his post-graduate training in orthodontics in 1983.  His post-graduate training included orthognathic jaw surgery for skeletal correction of malocclusion, which was held in conjunction with the University of Michigan Orthodontic Department, Growth and Development Center.

Following dental school, he returned to Medina where he worked as an associate and then went into private practice in 1984.  He also serves on the board of the Medina County Vocational Center Adult Dental Assisting program, lecturing, instructing and mentoring students since 1990.

Dr. Charles Pfister, Board Certified Orthodontist, which required him to pass a rigorous set of written and clinical examinations, as well as a comprehensive presentation of ten various malocclusions to a board of examiners. Becoming board certified signified his pursuit of continued proficiency and excellence in orthodontics and is achieved by only 35% of the orthodontists today.

Member of: Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, Spear Institute Study Club, Fellow of the Honorary International Academy of Dentists, Pierre Fauchard Academy, Ohio Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Medina County Dental Society, American Board of Orthodontists, Cleveland Society of Orthodontists, Wick Alexander International Orthodontic Society.

He has served four terms as President of the Medina County Dental Society, eight years on the Board of the Cleveland Society of Orthodontists along with being an officer for four years, the Ohio Dental Association Council of Membership Services, ODPAC Executive Committee for four years, he is a lifetime member of the Medina Chamber of Commerce  and as a delegate to the ODA House of Delegates.

In his spare time, Dr. Pfister enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his wife, Terri, and two sons, Stephen and Trenton.
