“One of the most important aspects to treatment planning is listening to the patient and determining their goals and objectives that they would like to achieve through orthodontic treatment.”

Bio

A lifelong native of Medina County, Dr. Pfister, a Board Certified Orthodontist, is a proud graduate of Highland High School…

He graduated from the College of Wooster in 1977 with a degree in Biology. He received his Masters of Science in Dentistry from Case Western Reserve University’s School of Dentistry in 1981 and completed his post-graduate training in Orthodontics in 1983. His post-graduate training included orthognathic jaw surgery for skeletal correction of malocclusion, which was held in conjunction with the University of Michigan Orthodontic Department, Growth and Development Center.

Following dental school, Dr. Pfister returned to Medina, Ohio. He worked as an associate and then went into private practice in 1984. He still practices in the same building today. He also serves on the board of the Medina County Vocational Center Adult Dental Assisting Program, where he has been lecturing, instructing, and mentoring students since 1990.

In his spare time, Dr. Pfister enjoys hunting, fishing, walking his dog, and spending time with his wife, Terri, and two sons, Stephen and Trenton.

Whether it’s restoring a young person’s self-esteem or providing an adult with the confidence he or she needs to excel in a chosen career, Dr. Pfister can help anyone achieve a beautiful smile.

As Dr. Pfister explains, “One of the most important aspects to treatment planning is listening to the patient and determining their goals and objectives that they would like to achieve through orthodontic treatment. Not all patients would be successful with Invisalign due to the demands and commitment of wearing aligners. And not every patient is able to deal psychologically with the metallic look and feel of traditional braces. But our patient-oriented staff will work with you to design a comprehensive orthodontic plan tailored specifically to your child or yourself.”

Dr. Pfister also adds that today, many older adults who previously thought they were “too old” for orthodontic therapy are coming in for the easier-on-the-gums-and-enamel Invisalign treatment. This past Fall, several retired seventy-year-old individuals (and a very sweet and determined 82-year-old English mom) started on their Invisalign adventure, much to Dr. Pfister’s surprise. So yes, today many different age groups previously not seen in orthodontic offices are coming in looking for smile or bite enhancement to promote their careers or to just maintain their teeth for a few more years! It’s never too late to transform your smile and we would love to help you achieve that goal.
